When Javier has his sights on something, he uses his resources to aquire it. That's how his current 1966 Chevrolet Impala ended up in Sacramento, California after an 11+ hour trek from Portland, Oregon. An aquaintance that use to roll with his car club helped him locate the Impala so that he could ride with the rest of the guys. It was garage kept by a 65 year old man who did his best maintain it, but a restoration was still necessary according to Javiers standards. "Triple Threat" came about as soon as the transport truck dropped it off in Jav's driveway & the project began immediately. 4 years later, Triple Threat is in much better shape & is looking pretty good as well. Little by little Javier would swap, change & replace parts here and there. The engine, which had been rebuilt, was torn apart yet again. During the engine rebuild, any items & accesories that needed to be cleaned up, received a fresh coat of powder. The original all red interior stayed untouched, for now, and the old top was replaced with new canvas. A red top was a must in order to match the upholstery as well as the flame red exterior. Next up, was the trunk. Youngs Beat Shop of Sacramento, CA made sure that Triple Threat can be heard, before it is seen. Only Zapco amps, Zapco components & JL Audio Subwoofers made the cut. The last addition on the list that made an impact was the set of 4x gold 13x7 Dayton wire wheels. Jav states that he is still putting in work, slowly upgrading as he comes across accessories.
Update: Within the week of these photos, Javier informed me that Triple Threat was in the shop as we spoke. New coat of paint for 2011.
