Well it looks like I am coming to a crossroad here. Which way to go???
Should I keep ridin it or start hidin it like the rest of you.
Not too sure about the whole car club scene anymore. Too many people hiding their rides in the parking lot for my taste. Thought we were all about supporting one another and growing as a group. Helping each other out with mods and keeping the B Body spirit alive and well. It really is a shame to see so many guys waiting till they get their cars perfect before they will show up at any event. Perfection is a lofty goal and something that may never be achieved completely so you may be waiting for a day that will never come. Much like the guy who sits at home and would rather save his pennies instead of going out and experiencing life while he is still able to. We have tried and tried to get people together but we are seriously lacking in group involvement here. The same guys always show up and represent the B-Body world. We have had get togethers and mod days where true enthusiasts show up and show support for one and all but it is always the same group of guys. I would rather a true supporter show up with a wrecked B- Body and post up right next to me than have a faker not show up at all or hide their ride in the parking lot and claim they are waiting to get a new license plate frame before they will come in side and be apart of the group. To see a guy with a not so perfect car but the desire and passion always motivates those around them (me especially) to help in any way possible to improve that ride. Whether it is a perfect trailer queen or a wreck they had to push in I will always respect passion and commitment before some lame excuse of "I couldn't show up because my car isn't perfect yet"

Sorry about the ranting but somebody has to say this.
Gonna go to a show this weekend and then take some time off and re-evaluate this whole business. Without envolvement the scene will die out completely and then where will you be. Oh that's right you will be waiting to get your car perfect and nobody will be left to show support for you.......Get It??
Scotty, Scotty, Scotty, i know where your comming from. ive been in a few car clubs that have been plagued with lack of motivation bringing them to an end. no mater what you do to try to jump start it. i dont know what it is with people now a days. i remember back in the day guys would be up at 4:00 in the morning getting a car running after installing a motor just to make it to a show that day. it takes dedication and a lot of people lost it. but i dont let it get me down. ive grown ammun to it. i would still go to shows by my self, have many times, if i had to. all i can say " dont let it get to you" if you need to take a break, take all you need hommie, ill still be out there doin my thing untill i cant physically or mentaly do it any more. we'll talk more about it at pleasanton. peace brother.
P.S. if you get out of the game. sell me your extra s**t. LOL!
I feel you on most of that, some guys have some clean unmodded rides that dont want to bring them out because they havent upgraded anything.
And as of right now 7 of our cars wont be at the Rodarama, I have more confirmations than that but you know how it goes

Well we got one new guy to show up this past weekend in Hollister.. Bryan, Friend of Harlan and Kevin's. Good guy with a very nice DGGM.

We even had a homie post up down the block and not join in with the group because he felt dis-respected.....

We had the funniest phukin $hit go down on saturday and everybody had a blast. I think I got there about 10 with some goods for my boys and we hung all day. Funny part is I didn't bring my broken down ride and I still hung all day and was one of the last to leave that night.....I was there for the journey boy's............ Mike and Patty threw down some good carne Asada and were gracious hosts like always... Thanks for everything.
For the rest of you who couldn't make it we will try to do this show again next year so start planning now to make your way to Hollister.. Maybe we can get 5 cars next year...Lol
